Well, after coming extremely close to giving-up the dream of earning a living online and having the freedom & money to live the life we all deserve… I received an email from one of the BIGGEST guys online.
I figured it was just a mass email sent out to THOUSANDS… Well, the first line of the email read just like this; "this is NOT a mass email sent out to thousands."
I must admit… It got my attention!
But this guy was different. He was sincere, and very upset about the whole thing. And, it was obvious he was a tourist. Not being from NYC and losing your wallet in a bar, after you have run a nice size tab…
Well, I don’t have to tell you… That can be a HUGE problem, for you!
But, like I said earlier… This guy was not your typical hustler, looking to "get over" on the bar. He was sincere. The first thing I did was.., pour him a drink, and told him to calm down. Then, I said don’t worry about the check, I got it… An, here’s $100 for a cab.
I thought the guys head was going to pop-off… He was shocked, at my understanding & response to the situation. He was sure, it was going to be a Huge problem, after hearing all the typical stories about NY’ers… And he couldn’t stop thanking me!
He told me he was an internet marketer from San Diego, Ca, in town for a "Big-Time Mastermind Conference" and he would send me the money for the check & any other expenses it cost me, as soon as he got home.
I completely believed him… Even though, in the back of my head, I knew there was a big chance of NEVER seeing that money, again. And that was okay with me.
Well, here’s the twist… I GOT FIRED!!!
That’s right… Even though, I took the money out of my own pocket, to cover the check & cab ride… My boss let me go (PRICK!). It’s never fun getting fired from a job, but I didn’t have the "normal" reaction, to losing a job. The only source of income I had at the moment.
To be more clear… That was the night I started thinking about working online and making money. Fast-forward, about 18 months… A grueling 18 months. And, this email from "Mr Big-Time" hits my inbox!!!
I had, of course, heard of this guy, from just about everyone online, who was trying to make money through affiliate marketing & other methods, but never saw a picture of him… And, just figured he was "one of those unapproachable gurus."

Well, he explained to me, he had called the bar to get the address, so he could send me the money and express his thanks for all my help… And, they told him, to keep his money, I had been "let go" because of that situation.
He was FLOORED!!!
He couldn’t believe… He was responsible for getting me fired & tried for a couple of months to track me down, to apologize. When finally, after over a year he stumbled onto one of my profiles, on one of those web 2.0 sites (like facebook or myspace), and gotten ahold of my email address.
He also saw on that profile… I was trying to break into the whole internet game.
He told me how SORRY he was for the whole situation (Boy, he felt baaaad!). He also told me to be on the look-out for the next email he was going to send… It would take care of all my money problems. And that’s all he said (Besides, thanking me a million more times for that night).
We’ve all heard that, before…
But, not from one of the most "Respected" internet marketers online… That felt like he "owed" me something…
